Driving directions for U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL)
Building 1 and Building 60.
Directions to NCARAI (Bldg. 1)
and
Seminar site (Bldg. 60)
From areas South of NRL (Alexandria, Fairfax County, and most of PG County):
Take I-95/495 (the Beltway) to the exit for I-295 North at the east end of the Wilson Bridge.
Follow I-295 to Exit 1, "Naval Research Lab."
Go through the light at the end of the ramp.
Take a right immediately in front of the gate into the parking lot
next to the NRL Visitor Control Center (Bldg. 72).
Once you've obtained a visitors pass, enter the NRL through the main gate.
The seminars are being held in the auditorium of building 60. Follow the main street
to the first building after the rail tracks on your right.
Visitors parking is available in front of the building as well as along the river.
NCARAI is located at the end of the mall.
From downtown DC:
Take I-395 North (SE expressway) to I-295 South. Follow I-295 to Exit 1,
"Naval Research Lab" (past the exit for Bolling). Take a right at the third
light.
Take a right immediately in front of the gate into the parking lot
next to the NRL Visitor Control Center (Bldg. 72).

Take Baltimore-Washington Parkway south all the way to the end, following signs
for I-295 South toward Richmond and Alexandria. Follow 295 (also called
Kenilworth Ave.) south to Exit 1, "Naval Research Lab" (past the exit for Bolling).
Take a right at the third light.
Take a right immediately in front of the gate into the parking lot
next to the NRL Visitor Control Center (Bldg. 72).

You can either come through downtown DC, or go south through Alexandria and
cross the Wilson Bridge. See directions above.
From Rockville, Gaithersburg, and other points northwest of DC:
Either go around the beltway through Fairfax County and cross the Wilson Bridge,
or go into DC and across the SE expressway. See directions above.
