Ensure that Navy IA needs will be met ... in the future.
- Perform basic and applied research necessary to develop new and/or improved technology for DoN needs.
- Influence pending technology, standards, and research to ensure that they will meet future DoN needs.
- Keep DoN abreast of current and pending technology and research to support informed decisions.
- Improve the transition of 6.1/6.2 technology to solutions and products - focusing the research and developing technologies to solve real-world problems.
