About The Division

The Information Technology Division (www.itd.nrl.navy.mil) conducts research and development in the collection, transmission, processing, dissemination, and presentation of information to provide a basis for improving the planning and execution of military operations. Division research programs span the areas of artificial intelligence, autonomous systems, high assurance systems, computer networks, modeling and simulation, virtual and augmented reality, human/computer interaction, communication systems, transmission technology, and high performance computing.
