Digital Technology Section (Code 5752)

The Digital Technology Section conducts research in image processing for automated systems. In these efforts are the development of algorithms and pointing/tracking systems that are realized in programmable EO/IR seeker simulators. The simulators and other instrumentation are applied to evaluate shipboard countermeasures and decoys.

An EO/IR seeker simulator developed by the Advanced Techniques Branch is installed on a Learjet aircraft prior to evaluation of a shipboard countermeasure system.
