Special Projects Section (Code 5775)

The Special Projects Group specializes in the utilization of unmanned vehicles and related technologies for EW and other applications. Group personnel have worked on projects as diverse as man-portable surveillance systems such as Dragon Runner and Dragon Eye, to the design of control systems for “flocks” of autonomous UAVs. Current research interests include remote and autonomous ES/EA systems and the study of RF propagation in the near-earth environment to support UGV control and EW applications.
