Infobase Software

Several software packages have been developed in-house at Code 7623 to enable Infobase access, HIRAAS data reduction, data analysis, and data display.  This software is designed for scientists and engineers on-site at Naval Research Laboratory and our off-site collaborators.  Proper operation of much of this software requires "select" permission in the HIRAAS Infobase.

Infolink.dll

Infolink.dll is a dynamically-linked library written using Borland C++ Builder 3.0 and utilizing the Borland Database Engine for ODBC database access.  This library provides several functions for opening a connection, retrieving data, retrieving metadata, etc. over the network.  The i/o is designed specifically for compatibility with Research Systems Inc. IDL version 5.2/5.3/5.4 so that scientists can retrieve data directly into IDL for data processing, modeling, display, and analysis.

IDLQuery

IDLQuery is a library of IDL routines for setting up Infobase queries and packaging the retrieved data into IDL data structures for analysis.

SOHstrip

SOHstrip.exe is a program for processing the ARGOS space vehicle health and status telemetry (aka  state-of-health files) to retrieve satellite systems engineering data.  The program strips out specified parameters into comma-delimited output files, utilizing information in a telemetry measurements documentation file.

HIRAAS IDL Library

This collection of IDL routines includes routines for displaying HIRAAS raw data, retrieving data from the Infobase, calculating observing geometry parameters, and reading certain data files.
