Liam Magargal, Lehigh University
Liam Magargal, a Lehigh University doctoral student, helped design and build computational multiphysics models and subsequently used them to generate synthetic data to train algorithms developed by the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) and University of Washington team. During the ten-week Naval Research Enterprise Internship Program (NREIP), Magargal worked with NRL mentors to develop novel algorithms to significantly reduce time and costs of simulating the behavior of complex multiphysics systems with machine learning.
